Question 1

Is this a safe and welcoming space for gay men?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. New York Lions was founded on the principle of creating a professional, respectful, and affirming sanctuary for all men, with a special focus on serving the gay community. Our male massage therapists are professionals who are experienced in and passionate about men's wellness and M4M therapeutic bodywork. Your comfort and safety are our highest priorities.

Question 2

Are your male masseurs licensed professionals?

Accepted Answer

Yes, every single one of our therapists is a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT). They have undergone extensive training and adhere to the strictest standards of professionalism and ethics. You can learn more about their individual qualifications on our Our Team page.

Question 3

What is the difference between your regular massage and 'M4M Bodywork'?

Accepted Answer

While all our services are therapeutic, our 'M4M Bodywork' sessions are specifically designed with a deeper understanding of the male physique and energetics in mind. These sessions, performed by a male masseur for a male client, can sometimes incorporate a more holistic or intuitive approach to touch that many of our gay clients find particularly restorative and affirming.

Question 4

Are your services sexual in nature?

Accepted Answer

No. We are a strictly professional, non-sexual therapeutic massage and wellness spa. All our services, including our M4M and tantric-inspired offerings, are performed by licensed professionals and are focused on therapeutic outcomes like stress relief, pain reduction, and holistic well-being. We have a zero-tolerance policy for any inappropriate behavior.

Question 5

What should I expect during my first gay massage session?

Accepted Answer

Your therapist will begin with a brief, confidential consultation to understand your needs and any areas of concern. You will be given privacy to undress to your level of comfort and lie on the massage table under a sheet. Your therapist will only uncover the part of your body they are working on. The goal is for you to relax and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of the session. Communication is key, so feel free to speak up if you need the pressure adjusted.

Question 6

How do I book an appointment?

Accepted Answer

The easiest way is to visit our Contact & Booking page. You can fill out the request form with your preferred service, therapist, and time, and we will contact you to confirm. You can also visit us at promasseurs.com.

Question 7

What are your hours of operation?

Accepted Answer

We are available by appointment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Whether you need an early morning session before work or a late-night relaxation treatment, we can accommodate your schedule. Simply contact us to arrange a time that works for you.

Question 8

Where are you located?

Accepted Answer

We are located on W 14th St in Manhattan, in a discreet and easily accessible location. The exact address will be provided upon booking confirmation. We are conveniently located near public transportation and serve clients from all NYC neighborhoods including Chelsea, West Village, Hell's Kitchen, and Brooklyn.

Question 9

What forms of payment do you accept?

Accepted Answer

We accept cash, all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), and various digital payment methods. Payment is due at the time of service. For packages and memberships, we can arrange flexible payment options.

Question 10

What is your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

We require at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the scheduled service. We understand emergencies happen, so please communicate with us as soon as possible if your plans change.

Question 11

Can I request a specific male therapist?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! We encourage you to choose a therapist whose specialty aligns with your needs. You can view all our male massage therapists and their specialties on our team page, then request your preferred therapist when booking.

Question 12

Do you offer couples massage for gay couples?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Our M4M Couples Massage Workshop is specifically designed for male couples. Two therapists work simultaneously, or we can teach you massage techniques to practice on each other. It's a wonderful way to connect with your partner while enjoying professional therapeutic care.

Question 13

Is tipping expected?

Accepted Answer

Tipping is not required but is always appreciated if you feel your therapist provided exceptional service. The industry standard is 15-20% of the service cost. You can tip in cash or add it to your card payment.

Question 14

What should I wear or bring to my appointment?

Accepted Answer

You don't need to bring anything special. You will be provided with a private changing area and will undress to your level of comfort (most clients are undressed under the sheet). We provide all linens, oils, and amenities. Just arrive relaxed and ready to enjoy your session.

Question 15

Do you offer services for non-gay men?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. While we take pride in serving the gay community, we welcome all men seeking professional therapeutic massage and bodywork. Our services are designed for men's wellness regardless of orientation. Everyone deserves professional, respectful care.
